Owner + President+ Executive Producer
Jason founded Retrospec Films in 2002. At age 33 he is one of the youngest directors & cinematographers to have extensive experience with a long list of top-of-the-line motion cameras and equipment used for filming today. He has shot over 900 TV commercials both regional and national, dozens of music videos, short films, feature films, documentaries, and product videos.
Producer + Project Manager
Nathan has a B.A. in Advertising & Marketing and over a decade experience working in video production and in the advertising industry. He has a natural instinct for design and a passion for visual communications. Nathan produces most client projects, manages both pre & post-production workflows, and oversees the day-to-day at Retrospec

Office Manager + TV Show Producer/Writer
Barbara joined Retrospec in it's early stages helping Jason grow the company to what it is today by spearheading the production of our weekly TV shows. Not only does she write and produce the TV shows, she takes care of the accounting, legal, insurance, and general office management. The most important role she carries is keeping everyone in line by doing her number one job, "Mom" - which is easy for her since she's actually is Jason's mom.
Account Manager + Talent
Gentry has been working on set with Retrospec Films since 2007. In 2015, she joined the team full-time, utilizing her B.A. in Organizational Communication to fulfill the role of Client Relations. Gentry wears many hats behind the scenes at Retrospec, but she finds herself most "at home" in front of the camera; serving as the spokesperson for numerous companies across the Midwest.
Josh is a hybrid - a jack of all trades some might say. He loves being on set but also enjoys pre & post-production. This includes writing scripts, editing, sound design, and acting. His passion for bringing ideas to life shows up in all aspects of production.
EDITOR + VFX
Josh first attended Pepperdine University, then finished his degree in advertising at Oklahoma State University. Josh works to create convincing visual effects and stunning motion graphics that add that final touch to each Retrospec project.
Producer + Production Manager
A native Californian, Brandon is a product of 3rd generation production. In 2014 he joined the Retrospec team doing a variety of pre and post production. His quick problem solving skills and passion for making things great have led him to love the producing role he finds himself in today. Want to get lost in conversation with him? Cinematographer + Actor
Our resident handyman Jacob Hightower is a true man’s man. Hightower’s creative eye is constantly seeking to create a dialogue and tell a story which makes him an asset to the Retrospec team.
Editor + Graphic Designer
Rachel has been with Retrospec since the small beginnings. She is of many talents from Video Editor, Graphic Designer, Photographer, Web Designer, Artist, Painter, Songwriter, Singer. Rachel also assists on set with production. Her motto is "I'll make it happen". Her main focus at Retrospec Films are the TV Shows, but she has her hands on many other things and enjoys being involved with all of it.
Editor + Motion Designer
Designer, Editor, Gamer, Puppeteer, and full time student, Cole Puryear has a deep rooted love for film making. His years of creating and editing his own short films is what lead him to Retrospec’s door. His versatility, honesty, and humor can be seen in every project he gets his hands on and makes him an invaluable member of the Retro team.
Motion Designer + Graphic Designer
Madi Dettor graduated from Oklahoma State University where she received both a BFA in Graphic Design and a BA in Studio Art . “I strive to make things accessible and exuberant. That’s what makes me smile, and hopefully makes others smile as well.” Honest, playful designs are a mainstay of her work and contribute greatly to the Retro team.
HAIR AND MAKEUP +PRODUCTION
If there are three things Kat could only do for the rest of her life they would be listen to music, eat cheese, and create art. 'Makeup for me has been my most favorite form of art, possibly because it's one of the most challenging. It encourages me to use my hands and get dirty, to take something as simple and as beautiful as a face and create something extraordinary. I enjoy working with anybody who is willing to take risks, dive into their creativity, and have some fun!" Kat is a licensed Cosmetologist, Makeup Artist, and Master Instructor with a decade in the beauty industry.
GRIP + Actor
Jones joined our team during the fall season of 2017. With an educational experience in front of the lens. Jones was able to quickly adapt to being hands on behind the lens and be a key asset to our grip team. He is passionate, hard working, and full of positivity.
EDITOR + Colorist + Camer Operator
Adam grew up filmmaking in his backyard with his friends at the age of seven, and has turned this lifelong passion of visual storytelling into a career. As a graduate of Evangel University, with degrees in Film and Digital Arts, Adam strives to bring his versatile skillset, his passion for producing memorable content, and a relentless attention to detail to the team here at Retrospec Films. Whether he’s shooting on set, or editing in his office, he’s likely holding a cup of coffee in his hand.
Callyn believes that art is the most valuable way to express yourself. She has a passion for all forms of art, and she's always loved writing in particular. A former ballet dancer, she now channels her creativity into her writing and her art. When she's not fulfilling writing needs at Retro, you can find Callyn practicing (or teaching!) yoga classes, doing handstands, climbing, making art and poetry, or drinking coffee.
