Owner + President + DP/Director + EXECUTIVE PRODUCER
Jason founded Retrospec Films in 2002. At age 35 he is one of the youngest directors & cinematographers to have extensive experience with a long list of top-of-the-line motion cameras and equipment used for filming today. He has shot over 2000 TV commercials both regional and national, dozens of music videos, short films, feature films, documentaries, and product videos. His passion has always been telling stories that move people through the beauty of cinema.
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS + SENIOR PRODUCER
Nathan has spent his career in Advertising & Marketing with a focus on video production. Using his natural instinct for design and a passion for visual communications, he excels in problem solving through creativity - executing both in the left and right brain. Nathan overseas daily operations and account management, as well as pre and post-production workflows. Nathan also serves as the VP of Sponsorships for the American Marketing Association’s Tulsa Chapter for the 2019-2020 year.
Office Manager + Producer/Writer
Barbara joined Retrospec in it's early stages helping Jason grow the company to what it is today by spearheading the production of our weekly TV shows. Not only does she write and produce the TV shows, she takes care of the accounting, legal, insurance, and general office management. The most important role she carries is keeping everyone in line by doing her number one job, "Mom" - which is easy for her since she's actually is Jason's mom.
Editor + Graphic Designer + Web Designer + Marketing Representative
Rachel has been with Retrospec since the small beginnings. She is of many talents from Video Editor, Graphic Designer, Photographer, Web Designer, Artist, Painter, Songwriter, Singer. Rachel also leads many of our client projects in areas of graphic design and marketing. Her motto is "I'll make it happen". Her main focus at Retrospec Films are the marketing and visual campaigns, but she has her hands on many other things and enjoys being involved with all of it.
Director of Production + Producer
A native Californian, Brandon is a product of 3rd generation production. In 2014 he joined the Retrospec team doing a variety of pre and post production. His quick problem solving skills and passion for making things great have led him to love the producing role he finds himself in today. Want to get lost in conversation with him? Christy Craig Thames
Director of Client Relations
Christy’s background equips her with leadership experience as diverse as owning a biotech company, leading strategy and business development initiatives for large international companies, as well as overseeing brand and public relations strategies. She serves as a critical point of contact for Retrospec’s clients and partners, taking everyone’s ideas and putting them into motion. She is a cultivator of relationships, and in doing so, she helps our clients increase brand awareness through strategic marketing and maximization of community partnerships. She proudly serves as a trustee of the Tulsa Symphony Board of Directors, the Tulsa Foundation for Architecture, and Harmony Project Tulsa.
SENIOR Editor + POST CREATIVE LEAD
Franks is a hybrid - a jack of all trades some might say. He loves being on set but also enjoys pre & post-production. This includes writing scripts, editing, sound design, and acting. His passion for bringing ideas to life shows up in all aspects of production.
Social media DIRECTOR
Chris Diamond started making films with his brother when he was 6 years old. He loves anything to do with the creative side of life. Ranging from macaroni art to 3d animation, Chris loves to create something out of nothing. Ever since he was a kid, watching the behind the scenes of films, it has been his passion and mission in life to entertain people through creative media.
LEAD VFX & Motion Designer + EDITOR
Tackett first attended Pepperdine University, then finished his degree in advertising at Oklahoma State University. Josh works to create convincing visual effects and stunning motion graphics that add that final touch to each Retrospec project.
Lead Cinematographer + Actor
Our resident handyman, Jacob Hightower is a true man’s man. He joined the Retrospec family in 2015. From acting to cinematography, he can do it all. Jacob’s creative eye is constantly seeking to create a strong narrative across video and photo mediums. His roles span across the company as Writer, Assistant Director, Cinematographer, Equipment Manager, Grip, and Gaffer. Having a skilled cinematographer like Jacob helps us ensure cinematic quality on every video.
As a photographer and cinematographer, Laci is a vital team member on both the pre and post production side of Retrospec Films. She captures breathtaking photos of our clients’ products, projects, and the people involved in those projects. Her eye for photography also brings a unique perspective to each production. She is also a creative at heart, always coming up with the next great idea or short story and thus can usually be found in any creative content meetings.
Editor + Motion Designer
Designer, Editor, Gamer, Puppeteer, and full time student, Cole Puryear has a deep rooted love for film making. His years of creating and editing his own short films is what lead him to Retrospec’s door. His versatility, honesty, and humor can be seen in every project he gets his hands on and makes him an invaluable member of the Retro team.
Motion Designer + Graphic Designer
Madi Dettor graduated from Oklahoma State University where she received both a BFA in Graphic Design and a BA in Studio Art . “I strive to make things accessible and exuberant. That’s what makes me smile, and hopefully makes others smile as well.” Honest, playful designs are a mainstay of her work and contribute greatly to the Retro team.
EDITOR + Colorist + CamerA Operator
Adam grew up filmmaking in his backyard with his friends at the age of seven, and has turned this lifelong passion of visual storytelling into a career. As a graduate of Evangel University, with degrees in Film and Digital Arts, Adam strives to bring his versatile skill set, his passion for producing memorable content, and a relentless attention to detail to the team here at Retrospec Films. Whether he’s shooting on set, or editing in his office, he’s likely holding a cup of coffee in his hand.
WRITER + SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER
Callyn believes that art is the most valuable way to express yourself. She has a passion for all forms of art, and she's always loved writing in particular. A former ballet dancer, she now channels her creativity into her writing and her art. When she's not fulfilling writing needs at Retro, you can find Callyn practicing (or teaching!) yoga classes, doing handstands, climbing, making art and poetry, or drinking coffee.

Raven is Retrospec Films newest addition. This talented editor/pug enthusiast is a native Oklahoman with a passion for theater and film. She is a graduate of Southwestern Oklahoma State University with a degree in Mass Communications and a minor in Theater. IMDB is her go to source for all things film and says she cannot watch a movie without first referencing the app. Raven has a can-do attitude and stuck to her guns when it came to seeking out a career with our Retrospec family. For over 2 years she applied to join the team and after a spot opened in our editing department we knew she was the perfect fit for our Social Media Department.
